It’s still very early in our gardening season. Taking a walk around our property looking at garden beds, whats coming up and new projects.

Some more of my personal experience and thoughts concerning the economic outlook. Where our thinking really should be.

I didn’t have time to get into the fine details. But I wanted to give an overview of what has been on my mind.

A brief update on our latest events.

We like everyone are concerned about the resent events.  Our thoughts on how to prepare for disease outbreaks.  Not just for swine flu but any emergency.

~Hitting home, more local North America
~New virus
~What is a pandemic?
~Spanish Flu
~Stages/waves of pandemics
~Prepare with out panic
~Water storage
~Food storage, avoid frozen goods.
~Other emergency to prepare for natural disaster, layoff, injury etc.

~How long are you preparing for?
~Energy needs
~N95 Masks, were to find them
~Herbs for flu
~Keeping a stock of your prescription meds.
~Keep cash on hand
~GM food/crops
~Confirmed cases

~Were to find food in a panic
~ Emergency energy, heating and cooking
~Diesel, cardboard, paper
~Water storage, filtration
~Keep a list of needed items to stock
~Simple items often forgotten
~Working together, help each other

A drive through a spring snowstorm, talking about the economy.  Local and global changes.

We though winter was over but it’s back with a slam!   Just as unpredictable as the market.

We watched a video on how Cuba coped without oil.  Very good lots of good ideas.

Thanks for all the support and comments.  Some more of my thoughts on the economics of today.
