Ingredients

  • 2 English cucumbers sliced
  • 1/2 small red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Miracle Whip
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 4 teaspoons white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Slice the cucumbers and thinly slice the onion. Place into a bowl, sprinkle with salt, and toss to coat. Cover and let sit for 15-30 minutes.
  • Drain the cucumber mixture in a colander to remove excess liquid. Transfer to a large bowl.
  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the Miracle Whip, sugar, vinegar, dill, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Pour the dressing over the cucumbers and stir until evenly coated.
  • Serve right away or cover and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.

Notes

If you start with chilled ingredients, refrigerating the salad before serving is optional.
