DIY Wooden Presents
You’ll love these cute DIY wooden presents! You can easily make a set using scrap wood but even if you needed to buy the wood the total cost would be well under $10 for the entire project. You’ll love making these rustic faux Christmas presents to decorate your fireplace mantel, side table or tucking around your Christmas tree.

Equipment
- Walnut stain
- Saw
- Sandpaper
- Glue gun
- Foam paintbrush
- Rag
Materials
- 1 1 x 6 - cut to 5 1/2”
- 1 1 x 6 - cut to 9”
- 1 1 x 6 - cut to 14”
- Ribbon
- Greenery
- Berries
- Hot glue
Instructions
- Cut your 1 x 6 boards to length and sand the edges smooth, wipe off any dust.
- Stain the front and sides of the wood with the walnut stain and wipe off the extra. Repeat this for each wooden present ou are making, then set them aside to dry.
- Once they are fully dry turn them over and stain the backs, again leave them until they are fully dry.
- Measure a length of ribbon to fit vertically around the present box and another that wraps around horizontally.
- Center the vertical ribbon, turn the wooden present over and glue the ends down. Then line up the horizontal ribbon were you want it around the middle or closer to the top on taller presents looks really pretty. Glue the ends down securely.
- Turn the gift right side up and using hot glue, glue down some greenery, berries or jingle bells to the center of the ribbon.
