Easy Painted Mason Jars With Burlap Ribbon

- Start by picking out 3 quart-sized mason jars, then wipe the outsides down with rubbing alcohol to remove any oils from your hands.
- Hold the jar on its side with your fingers inside of it (or use a wooden dowel) and paint the sides and rim of the jar. Then place the jar upside down on some parchment and paint the bottom. Leave the jars to sit until they have dried and then do a second coat if needed.
- Cut a length of burlap ribbon that fits around the mason jar so that it just overlaps a little. Then place the ribbon around the mason jar and hot glue the end down. Then place a little hot glue over top of that end and wrap the other end of the ribbon over top of it and hold down until set.

Notes
- You can use any width of ribbon you like but I find a 2 to 2.5 inch wide ribbon looks really cute on the mason jars.
- Darker paint colors normally need 2 coats of paint while lighter colors like white will need 3. This can depend on the brand of paint you are using.
- If you want to make your jars water proof then spray them with a polyurethane sealer or dishwasher safe Mod Podge. If you are using the jars for food make sure to use a food safe paint and sealer.
