Filling
- 10 cups sliced peaches
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 3 TBS. all-purpose flour
Topping
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2/3 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. baking powder
Preheat your oven to 375F.
Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish and set aside.
Wash the peaches and cut them in half, remove the pitt. Then slice the peach into 1/2 inch slices.
Place the peaches into a 9x13 baking pan and sprinkle the sugar, cinnamon, and flour for the filling over them. Stir to coat the peaches well, and set aside.
For the topping in a medium-sized mixing bowl combine the flour, baking powder, and salt then set aside.
In a separate mixing bowl cream the butter, then add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Beat with a mixer until fluffy.
Add half of the dry mixture and mix well, then half of the milk and mix well. Add the remaining flour mixture and milk and stir until well mixed.
Spoon the batter over top of the peaches.
Bake in the oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
