Ingredients

  • 1 pound rotini pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion diced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bell pepper diced
  • 1 (22 oz) can of tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced green olives
  • 24 pepperoni slices

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Cook the pasta al dente following package instructions, and drain well.
  • While the pasta is cooking, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain the grease.
  • Add in the onion, green pepper, and garlic, and cook for 3 minutes until tender. Add the tomato sauce, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil, and stir well.
  • Combine the cooked pasta and meat sauce and pour into a greased 9x13 baking dish. Top with shredded cheese, olives, and pepperoni slices.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the pasta is heated through. Let sit for 3-5 minutes before serving to allow the cheese to set.

Notes

If using a large oven-safe skillet, you can add the toppings and bake in the skillet.
