I find it so hard these days to find quality homemaking magazines. Do you know what I mean? I love my job as a homemaker for my family and my heart desires resources that will encourage me to be the best homemaker and mother that I can be for my family.
This is why I’m so excited to share with you the Joyous Home Journal’s created by my dear friend Theresa Powers at Joyous Home.

The Joyous Home Journal’s is a set of seasonal magazines that are filled with inspiring homemaking and homeschool projects for your family. They include a variety of beautiful projects from sewing headbands, table runners, quilted pillows, and the cutest tea towels I’ve ever seen!
Each project includes detailed step by step photos including step by steps for the sewing stitches! As a homeschooling mom and a beginner in needlework, I really love having clear step by step photos for projects. It means the difference between feeling comfortable trying a project or moving on to something else.
There are also many woodworking projects from building a swing set, shelves, lamps, and a cute flower press. I love that at the end of each of the woodworking articles Theresa’s husband John includes his email address. If you are stuck on a project you can just email him and he’ll help you figure it out.
Can you believe that? What other magazine can you just email the writer and ask for help? They truly want these to be a blessing to your family.
Recipes, oh how can I even begin. Reading these magazines will make you hungry. (smile) Each recipe is a family favourite that is beautifully photographed.
From refrigerator pickles, apple and cherry turnovers to making your own whole grain breads these journals will inspire you to get into the kitchen.

I’ve made two batches of dandelion jelly so far. Delicious. Family thought I was crazy, but now they love the jelly. Go figure. I took pictures and am sharing with friends. Thanks for all your info and other ideas. janette
