Ingredients

  • 1 (7 pound) Ham bone in precooked smoked ham
  • 3 cups water

Brown Sugar Glaze

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  • Place the ham flat side down in a roasting pan. Add water to the bottom of the pan (about 1/2 inch deep) and cover tightly with foil.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes per pound, or according to package directions, until heated through.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar, mustard, cinnamon, cornstarch, and orange juice. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and let cool.
  • During the last 30 minutes of cooking, remove the ham from the oven and brush it with the glaze.
  • Increase the oven temperature to 400°F and return the ham to the oven, uncovered, until the glaze caramelizes and it's reached an internal temperature of 140°F.
  • Remove from the oven, let rest, then slice and drizzle with the remaining glaze before serving.
