Ingredients

Filling

  • 6 cups blueberries 3 pints
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons flour

Topping

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  • Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish and set aside.
  • Mix the blueberries, lemon juice, flour, and 1/2 cup of sugar together and set aside.
  • For the batter, in a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt, then set aside.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, add the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Beat with a mixer until fluffy.
  • Alternate adding the flour and milk to the batter, stir until well mixed.
  • Pour the blueberries into your prepared baking dish.
  • Pour the batter over the blueberries.
  • Bake in the oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
