Ingredients

  • 24 Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 24 pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 red onion sliced

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease two 9x13 baking dishes or one large baking sheet.
  • Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in the garlic powder and oregano, keep warm until needed.
  • Place the bottom halves of the Hawaiian rolls into the baking dishes.
  • Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the rolls.
  • Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese, then add the pepperoni and sliced onion.
  • Top with the remaining cheese and place the top halves of the rolls back on.
  • Brush the tops with garlic butter.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes, until heated through and the cheese is melted.
