This December has been on the crazy side for us. I had planned to take the month off our normal studies and focus on Christmas units. Unfortunately, we were hit with some virus for the first 2 weeks of December.

We were all knocked right out! It was almost halfway through the month before we were able to get our tree up. This year I just let the kids decorate the tree and other things however they wanted and enjoyed watching them do it!
Today we were all feeling a bit better so we decided to decorate our gingerbread house. This is the first time the kids have put one together. I don’t know why I didn’t think of picking up one of these handy kits before.
Hubby and I put the frame of the house together and dd13 did the fondant and icing than all the kids helped to decorate it. Sneaking gumdrops along the way. LOL

After the gingerbread house was finished we started working on some yummy gingerbread cookies!
