They fit with all types of decor styles from modern to farmhouse and are inexpensive to make.

These little acorn wreaths fit into that category perfectly.

They are so easy to make with kids but grownup enough to look great on anyone’s Christmas tree. A perfect craft to make if you are looking for acorn decoration ideas to use up lots of acorns.

Supplies

Step 1.

Start by gathering your acorns, you can use real ones if you are lucky enough to have an oak tree nearby. We don’t so I picked up a bag of these cut plastic acorns.

You’ll need 6 acorns for each mini wreath you are going to make but you can easily change that number if you are working with acorns that are smaller or larger then the ones I have.

Step 2.

Gluing the first 2 acorns together.
Glue the first 2 acorns at 90-degree angles to each other so the edges are just touching.

Take 2 acorns and place them at 90-degree angles so the caps are just touching.

When you have the placement right separate them and place a small dot of hot glue there and then hold them together for a few seconds until the glue has set.

Glue the acorns into a circle.

Continue adding the remaining acorns in the same way until you have formed a circle.

Step 3.

If the wreath doesn’t feel quite strong enough turn it over and places a little extra hot glue in between the acorns. Try to make sure that it can’t be seen from the front.

Step 4.

Twine string tied around the wreath to make a hanger.

Notes

You can use real acorns for this craft but plastic and foam ones work great too.
