Ingredients
- 1 quart strawberries, whole or quartered
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

How To Make Strawberry Compote
Rinse and hull your strawberries, small berries can be left whole, while larger berries you can cut into quarters.
Then add the strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla to a small saucepan.
Place the pot over medium heat and bring everything to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally as the strawberries start to release their juices.
Let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries are soft and juicy.
Remove the compote from the heat and let it cool. It will continue to thicken as it cools.
Once cooled, transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge until you’re ready to use.
